About Me

Images are drawn from a combination of sketches and memory, or direct studies of natural forms. The wood-engraving tools give great scope for examining detail and creating texture. These activities are explored further with watercolour and fine brushes, especially for fungi and birds nests.

86th Annual Exhibition

The Society of Wood Engravers’ Annual Exhibition features original prints stringently selected from an open submission. It tours several venues throughout the year showcasing the best contemporary work from the United Kingdom and overseas.

The Society works closely with each gallery venue to ensure people throughout the UK have the opportunity to experience the work at first hand. All work is for sale.
